Wharton Equity Partners has hired Ronald Uretta as Chief Operating Officer.
Uretta will report directly to founder and chairman, Peter C. Lewis, in the New York office, and oversee all aspects of administration and operational functions of the firm.
As a senior executive with over two decades of experience across both private and publicly held organizations, Uretta specializes in managing business processes for companies with ties to the real estate industry.
Over the course of his career, he has also been involved with securing investments, aligning firms’ core business and revenue goals, managing risk, and leading strategic asset repositioning for commercial real estate firms.
Prior to Wharton, Uretta served as managing director at asset management firm CIII Capital Partners.
Earlier in his career, Uretta was the CFO and COO of Insignia Financial Group where he oversaw operations for the $1 billion company, building out several platforms for Insignia and managing the firm’s operations and infrastructure for over 60 domestic and foreign markets.
Uretta earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting & Business from Waynesburg University. In 2019 he received a Certificate of Completion in Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investments from MIT.
Greystone announced that Imran Ahmed has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director.
A capital markets and investment strategy veteran, Ahmed was most recently at CBRE Capital Advisors, the broker-dealer group within CBRE, where he served as an executive managing director within Global Capital Markets.
He was previously a managing director and co-head of rReal estate at KPMG Corporate Finance, partner and COO at Ranieri Real Estate Partners, and also served as a managing director, Real Estate Investment Banking and Commercial Real Estate Finance at Deutsche Bank Securities.
Ahmed earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master’s degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Bachelor’s degrees from Cornell University.

Avison Young New Jersey announced that Danielle Loeffler has been promoted to Director, Project Management.
Loeffler, who has been with the firm since 2016, most recently served as a senior project manager, Project Management Services.
During her tenure, Loeffler’s responsibilities have included site and building design, entitlements, tenant relations and lease compliance, as well as full construction services from bid negotiation through close out.
She has overseen project management work for numerous industrial distribution facilities in New Jersey, as well as self-storage facilities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
In addition, Loeffler has recently completed multiple industrial projects for Black Creek Group throughout New Jersey.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Loeffler was employed at Kushner Companies as an assistant project manager and assistant property manager responsible for a portfolio of 46 residential apartment buildings in New York City.
Loeffler holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University.

MKDA announced that Christin Weaver, NCIDQ, IIDA, has joined the firm as a senior interior designer in its New York studio.
Weaver will lead the firm’s corporate services, leverage more than 10 years of workplace and commercial building interior design experience to bring clients evidence-based, human-centric design.
Weaver was most recently an associate interior designer with Gensler. She began her career as an intern resource librarian at interior architecture firm The Switzer Group. She was promoted to Interior Designer and partnered with many of the firm’s leading workplace and commercial building clients, helping to lead the design team of The Switzer Group’s own New York Office when it relocated in 2010.

Engel Burman announced that Daniel Daragiu has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer for the Construction Division.
With over 15 years of senior-level roles in the real estate and construction industries, Daragiu comes to Engel Burman from Blue Industries, where he served as CFO for both Blue Star Glass, Inc. and Blue Line Drywall & Builders, Inc.
Prior to that he was CFO for New York City-based Danya Cebus. Daragiu graduated from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and earned his MBA from Rutgers University.

Suffolk has hired Alexis McGuffin to serve as vice president of business development.
McGuffin previously spent nearly 14 years in senior executive positions at the real estate and construction enterprise Lendlease.
Most recently, she served as Lendlease’s vice president of business development and partnerships. McGuffin also served as vice president of virtual design and construction (VDC) and held leadership roles on Lendlease’s ICT Steering Committee, National VDC Leadership Team, and Global Advisory Committee for Digital Engineering.

Sohith Perera, AIA, Associate Principal is actively involved in recruitment and mentorship at the firm. His 15 years in the field include extensive international experience with Zaha Hadid Architects and MAD Architects in Taiwan. In his new role, Sohith will join the firm’s Executive Team.

Lendlease announced the appointment of Ray Master as Head of Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), Americas.
Master will be based in Lendlease’s New York office, leading a team of 11 and will report directly to Chris Doyle, Group Head of EH&S.
Master has over 30 years of experience, including ten prior years with Lendlease from 2000 -2010.
During his brief hiatus from the firm, Master worked for JMJ Associates in Australia and Washington State serving clients including Chevron and Boeing, focusing on both mega-project and enterprise-wide culture transformation for breakthrough safety performance.
Additionally, Ray has held a number of safety-related roles in insurance/risk management, safety-critical project support for the U.S. Department of Energy, and various consulting assignments in real estate, transportation, infrastructure and healthcare/life sciences.
