Wharton Equity Partners has hired Ronald Uretta as Chief Operating Officer.
Uretta will report directly to founder and chairman, Peter C. Lewis, in the New York office, and oversee all aspects of administration and operational functions of the firm.
As a senior executive with over two decades of experience across both private and publicly held organizations, Uretta specializes in managing business processes for companies with ties to the real estate industry.
Over the course of his career, he has also been involved with securing investments, aligning firms’ core business and revenue goals, managing risk, and leading strategic asset repositioning for commercial real estate firms.
Prior to Wharton, Uretta served as managing director at asset management firm CIII Capital Partners.
Earlier in his career, Uretta was the CFO and COO of Insignia Financial Group where he oversaw operations for the $1 billion company, building out several platforms for Insignia and managing the firm’s operations and infrastructure for over 60 domestic and foreign markets.
Uretta earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting & Business from Waynesburg University. In 2019 he received a Certificate of Completion in Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investments from MIT.

Greystone announced that Imran Ahmed has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director.
A capital markets and investment strategy veteran, Ahmed was most recently at CBRE Capital Advisors, the broker-dealer group within CBRE, where he served as an executive managing director within Global Capital Markets.
He was previously a managing director and co-head of rReal estate at KPMG Corporate Finance, partner and COO at Ranieri Real Estate Partners, and also served as a managing director, Real Estate Investment Banking and Commercial Real Estate Finance at Deutsche Bank Securities.
Ahmed earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master’s degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Bachelor’s degrees from Cornell University.

Hunton Andrews Kurth has promoted real estate attorneys Brian Clarke, Jarred Grodin and Douglas Hoffmann to partner.
Brian M. Clarke (Capital Finance and Real Estate, New York) advises issuers, investors, and other stakeholders in chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, and other distressed situations.
He received his undergraduate degree from Fairfield University and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law, graduating cum laude from both.

Jared D. Grodin (Capital Finance and Real Estate, Houston) focuses his practice on commercial lending, finance and real estate transactions. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he was one of the editors of the South Texas Law Review.

Douglas H. Hoffmann (Capital Finance and Real Estate, New York) focuses his practice on representing commercial real estate owners, developers, lenders, investors, private equity funds, and institutional REITs in structuring and closing all types of real estate transactions.
Hoffmann received his undergraduate and law degrees from Emory University.

Avison Young New Jersey announced that Danielle Loeffler has been promoted to Director, Project Management.
Loeffler, who has been with the firm since 2016, most recently served as a senior project manager, Project Management Services.
During her tenure, Loeffler’s responsibilities have included site and building design, entitlements, tenant relations and lease compliance, as well as full construction services from bid negotiation through close out.
She has overseen project management work for numerous industrial distribution facilities in New Jersey, as well as self-storage facilities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
In addition, Loeffler has recently completed multiple industrial projects for Black Creek Group throughout New Jersey.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Loeffler was employed at Kushner Companies as an assistant project manager and assistant property manager responsible for a portfolio of 46 residential apartment buildings in New York City.
Loeffler holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University.

KZA Realty Group recently welcomed Karen Mayo as Sales Member.
Mayo previously served as a senior loan officer with SLH Mortgage and was ranked among the company’s top 10 loan officers two years in a row.
She later worked as a home mortgage consultant for Wells Fargo and as a private mortgage banker for Home Savings of America,.
In 2011, Mayo switched gears, becoming an assistant office and project manager for a construction company. She become a Licensed Real Estate Agentin 2013 and successfully advised homebuyers on purchase procedures for the next seven years.

Jamie Feuerborn was promoted to Principal of Workplace Strategy; Janice Fellows, Jeff Knoll, Rachel Robinson and Richard Bliss were each promoted to Studio Design Principal.
Jamie Feuerborn, LEED AP, has nearly 20 years of experience. She has worked with clients on portfolio planning, strategy, programming, workplace transformation and change management.
Projects include AIG, CIT Group, TIAA, Société Générale, Mazars, Mizuho, Publicis Groupe, Foot Locker, and ViacomCBS.
Jamie is a NCIDQ certified designer and holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Kansas State University.
Janice Fellows has more than 20 years of experience in corporate interiors.
Her projects include Adams Street Partners, G2, Grant Thornton, IRI, and Wilton Brands.
Fellows has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Interior Design from Iowa State University.
Jeff Knoll has over 25 years of experience and incorporates workplace strategy, branding, biophilia, and technology into his designs. Some of his clients include AlphaSights, Fox Corp, Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and NBCUniversal.
Knoll has a Bachelor of Science and Architecture from Pennsylvania State University.
Rachel Robinson, IIDA, LEED AP, is a collaborative leader who guides and inspires design teams through the entire project process. Her recent projects include BMO, Fiserv, Mizuho Bank Headquarters, Mazars, Neuberger Berman, Viacom and Willis Towers Watson.
Robinson studied Interior Architecture at the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK.
Richard Bliss has more than 30 years of experience in corporate, financial, legal, government, technology, higher education, retail, healthcare, and hospitality interiors.
Projects in his portfolio include CIT Group, AQR, Foot Locker, Revlon, Skanska, and Wolters Kluwer.
Bliss studied Architectural Studies, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

MKDA announced that Christin Weaver, NCIDQ, IIDA, has joined the firm as a senior interior designer in its New York studio.
Weaver will lead the firm’s corporate services, leverage more than 10 years of workplace and commercial building interior design experience to bring clients evidence-based, human-centric design.
Weaver was most recently an associate interior designer with Gensler. She began her career as an intern resource librarian at interior architecture firm The Switzer Group. She was promoted to Interior Designer and partnered with many of the firm’s leading workplace and commercial building clients, helping to lead the design team of The Switzer Group’s own New York Office when it relocated in 2010.
Weaver earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from New York School of Interior Design.

Engel Burman announced that Daniel Daragiu has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer for the Construction Division.
With over 15 years of senior-level roles in the real estate and construction industries, Daragiu comes to Engel Burman from Blue Industries, where he served as CFO for both Blue Star Glass, Inc. and Blue Line Drywall & Builders, Inc.
Prior to that he was CFO for New York City-based Danya Cebus. Daragiu graduated from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and earned his MBA from Rutgers University.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and earned the Bloomberg Market Concepts Certification.

Suffolk has hired Alexis McGuffin to serve as vice president of business development.
McGuffin previously spent nearly 14 years in senior executive positions at the real estate and construction enterprise Lendlease.
Most recently, she served as Lendlease’s vice president of business development and partnerships. McGuffin also served as vice president of virtual design and construction (VDC) and held leadership roles on Lendlease’s ICT Steering Committee, National VDC Leadership Team, and Global Advisory Committee for Digital Engineering.
McGuffin recently joined the inaugural class of the REBNY Fellows, a first-of-its-kind leadership program for real estate professional.

Senlac Ridge Partners announced that it appointed Christopher K. Richter to Principal, Development and Construction.
Richter has managed the development of more than 20 million square feet of commercial office, residential and retail space over his career.
He was most recently Senior Vice President of Development for Avison Young’s New Jersey office. He has over 35 years of experience in the areas of civil engineering, land planning, project management and real estate development.
A licensed professional engineer and planner, he holds an MS in Civil Engineering/Construction Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a BS in Civil Engineering from University of Vermont.

CetraRuddy has announced promotions for 10 key team members.
Chris Lee, AIA, Associate Principal, has over 20 years of experience spearheading design work for highly complex projects. Recent work includes ARO, the award-winning 62-story apartment tower in Manhattan’s Theater District.
Sohith Perera, AIA, Associate Principal is actively involved in recruitment and mentorship at the firm. His 15 years in the field include extensive international experience with Zaha Hadid Architects and MAD Architects in Taiwan. In his new role, Sohith will join the firm’s Executive Team.
Dolly Alvarez, Senior Associate has spent 12 years with the firm, and has managed a wide variety of projects including 350 Clarkson and 22 Chapel. She is currently managing a mixed-use residential tower for Columbia University’s new Manhattanville campus.
Meredith Cocco, Senior Associate, Director of Marketing has a background in architectural studies and art history. She serves as a mentor at her alma mater, Brown University, to undergraduate Women’s Swimming and Diving team members. She has been active in the Municipal Arts Society’s Young Urbanists program and the Society for Marketing Professionals Services New York Chapter.
Charles Thomson, LEED AP, Senior Associate, focuses on residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. His portfolio of notable work includes Rose Hill, a new luxury multifamily development in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan.
Willis Ting, Senior Associate, joined CetraRuddy in 2012. He has played key roles in major new construction developments, historic landmark renovations, and adaptive reuse expansions. Recent work includes 12 East 13th Street, the conversion of a former parking garage into a luxury condominium and retail property.
Sara Azizian, Associate, joined the firm in 2013. Her project portfolio includes work on significant new developments such as 65 Franklin Avenue, a 90,000 s/f condominium in Manhattan, as well as complex renovation and conversion work on historic buildings.
Kristopher Duritza, Associate, has over eight years of industry experience and has played a key role in several of CetraRuddy’s significant projects, including private residences, a new multifamily development in Philadelphia, PA, and various adaptive re-use and conversion projects such as 212 West 72nd Street and 20 Broad Street.
Ali Tabatabaie Ghomi, Associate, has actively enhanced the firm’s 3D modeling and custom tool development, contributing to the realization of many important projects for the firm. In addition to his project work at CetraRuddy, Ali is a leader of the firm’s Computational Committee, and is also engaged in advanced research with the Polyhedral Structures Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a Master of Science in Design.
Danielle Radel, Associate, has been a member of CetraRuddy’s interior design team since 2015. With a specialization in programming, space planning and the selection of materials, finishes and furniture for multifamily residential and mixed-use design, her portfolio includes projects such as 360 Central Park West.

VHB announced the addition of Raffaela Dunne as Northeast Institutions Market Leader, furthering the firm’s growth in New York and New Jersey.
Dunne brings 30 years of experience in ground-up development, repositioning assets and properties, and public-private partnerships to VHB’s legacy and prospective projects for institutions like Princeton University, Northwell Health, Catholic Health, and others.
Most recently, Raffaela served as Senior Vice President for Washington Square Partners, Inc. where she was responsible for supervising projects at Moynihan Station, Penn South Cooperative, Archdiocese of New York, and Long Island University, among others.
Dunne holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from Manhattan College.

Lendlease announced the appointment of Ray Master as Head of Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), Americas.
Master will be based in Lendlease’s New York office, leading a team of 11 and will report directly to Chris Doyle, Group Head of EH&S.
Master has over 30 years of experience, including ten prior years with Lendlease from 2000 -2010.
During his brief hiatus from the firm, Master worked for JMJ Associates in Australia and Washington State serving clients including Chevron and Boeing, focusing on both mega-project and enterprise-wide culture transformation for breakthrough safety performance.
Additionally, Ray has held a number of safety-related roles in insurance/risk management, safety-critical project support for the U.S. Department of Energy, and various consulting assignments in real estate, transportation, infrastructure and healthcare/life sciences.
Master holds a BS and MS in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is board-certified safety professional as recognized by the U.S.Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
