Cushman & Wakefield has arranged a long-term, full-building lease for Squire Technologies, Inc. at 216 Bowery, a new boutique office redevelopment.
Squire, provider of a software platform designed for booking, payment and management of barbershops and salons, connecting barbers and stylists with customers in the United States, Canada and the U.K., will occupy a total of 10,129 s/f consisting of 2,055 s/f of ground floor retail space and 8,074 s/f of office space on floors two through five.
Cushman & Wakefield’s David Hoffman and Sam Hoffman represented the tenant in the transaction. Ethan Silverstein, Greg Kuhlman, Caroline Collins, Steve Soutendijk, Chris Schwart and Sean Moran, also of Cushman & Wakefield, represented the landlord, an LLC associate with private equity company L3 Capital.
“216 Bowery will be the new world headquarters for Squire Technologies, a rapidly growing fintech company specializing in systematizing bookings, point of sale, accounts payable and many other unique features for barber shops,” said Hoffman.
216 Bowery was recently redeveloped and features newly designed offices with enlarged windows, a two-story addition with elevators and stairs and a large mansard skylight with operable vents on the fifth floor, as well as a historical restoration of the original Brownstone façade, maintaining the architectural integrity of the building. The building offers a new roof terrace overlooking Bowery, new state-of-the-art security access control systems, new bathrooms, column-free floor plates, exposed ceilings and maple hardwood floors throughout.
“216 Bowery is a premier mixed-use building and will make a great home for Squire Technologies,” added Moran.
