Cushman & Wakefield announced that the firm has arranged a long-term lease for ZIM American Integrated Shipping at 10 Exchange Place in Jersey City.

ZIM, one of the leading carriers in the global container shipping industry, will occupy 9,920 s/f on the 18th floor of the property.

Managed by Manulife Investment Management and owned by Manulife US REIT, 10 Exchange Place was represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Rob Lowe, David DeMatteis, Nick Dysenchuk and Mina Shehata. The tenant was represented by Dan Johnsen, also of Cushman & Wakefield.

“10 Exchange Place offers unique spaces with some of the best views Jersey City, and arguably greater New Jersey, has to offer,” said Erik Gustafson, Head of U.S. Real Estate Asset Management at Manulife Investment Management.

“We are seeing leasing velocity increase with highly desirable spaces like this property leasing up first,” added DeMatteis.

10 Exchange Place is a 740,354 s/f, 30-story property with a brand new lobby, sleek modern glass façade, security desk and turnstiles. The property offers on-site food service with outdoor seating along the pier, on-site management, communal lobby and outdoor space, bike storage and a seven-story covered garage, as well as a Gregory’s Coffee on-site.

Designed by The Grad Partnership, 10 Exchange Place has an iconic architectural design. With an unobstructed window line on all four facades, the property boasts spectacular waterfront views of the Hudson River, World Trade Center, Lower Manhattan and the Empire State Building. The property is LEED Gold, Energy Star and WiredScore certified.

10 Exchange Place is near multiple commuting options, including the New Jersey PATH station, Light Rail, NJ Transit and the NY Waterway Ferry.
