Legion Investment Group, led by founder and CEO Victor Sigoura, has unveiled new renderings for the company’s new ground-up condo building at 109 East 79th Street.
Designed by architect Steven Harris, 109 East 79th Street will feature a façade of fluted limestone and masonry brick, with stretches of casement-style windows. The entry base of the building is framed in Pietra di Torre stone with a slender bronze marquee.
A double-height lobby leads to a lounge and library overlooking a private garden. Upstairs, a double-height fitness center will feature a full squash court and yoga studio, also overlooking the garden. Amenities also include a spa equipped with treatment rooms, sauna and hair salon, a screening room and a fully equipped game room.
The 20-story building will have 32 two- to five-bedroom
residences emphasizing classically proportioned layouts, stretching beyond
6,000 s/f in some instances. The
residences, each feature spacious entertaining and dining areas, up to 20 ft.
ceiling heights and some step-down living rooms. Floor plans are oriented to
take advantage of views over private gardens, including the building’s own.
Legion spent several years assembling the development site, which
includes five East 79th Street lots and creates 100 feet of frontage steps off
Park Avenue. The company secured a $133 million construction from ACORE Capital
earlier this year and construction is already underway with completion set for 2022.
Sales of the residences are expected to launch in 2021 with Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group.
