Newmark announced a new 1,206 s/f retail lease for Roller Rabbit at 1156 Madison Avenue.
Newmark’s Vice Chairman Ariel Schuster and Associate Director Jason Wecker represented the landlord, Brodsky Organization. The firm’s Associate Director Brandon Miller and Associate Alexandra Yanoff represented Roller Rabbit.
The new space on 1156 Madison Avenue is a relocation for the brand from their previous space at 1019 Lexington Ave.
Roller Rabbit is a bohemian, happiness-inspired lifestyle brand that celebrates global artisanship and handcraft. Launched in 2003, it has evolved into a complete ready-to-wear collection of relaxed, easy pieces and home goods.
“Throughout the pandemic, retailers in densely populated residential areas like the northern stretch of Madison Ave have benefitted as many residents worked from home and spent more time shopping locally,” said Miller. “The new location of Roller Rabbit along Madison Avenue from Lexington Ave offers stronger brand adjacencies and greater visibility as they continue to grow within the neighborhood.”
Roller Rabbit will be opening on the ground floor of The Croydon, located at 1156 Madison Avenue, on the west block between East 85th and 86th streets. The building is a 340-unit rental property with neighbors including Butterfield Market, Peloton, The Westside, Love Shack Fancy, Lululemon Athletica and Everafter.
“This is a prime retail space for the brand in a core market along an attractive corridor with other high-end tenants,” said Wecker. “The building’s ownership has been curating a desirable mix of tenants for their residents including Butterfield market, Peloton, and now Roller Rabbit.”
